The Brand Colors You Keep Saving on Pinterest (And What They Say About Your Business)

There's a reason you keep screenshotting color palettes. Color is one of the first decisions your future clients make about you — before they read a word of your copy, before they see your logo, before they even know what you do. They feel your brand first. And that feeling starts with color.

Here are three palettes I put together for brands that want to feel intentional, elevated, and memorable — along with a little bit of what each one is quietly saying about you.

Palette 01 — The Classic Ivory · Silver · Almond · Charcoal

This is the palette for a brand that doesn't need to shout. Ivory and Almond bring warmth without weight. Silver adds just enough cool to keep it from feeling too soft. Charcoal grounds the whole thing in authority.

Color psychology note: neutrals like these communicate trust, longevity, and sophistication. They're the brand equivalent of a well-cut blazer — understated, but you notice it.

Works well for: luxury services, consultants, architects, photographers, high-end product brands.

Palette 02 — The Storyteller Silence · Mustang · Seedpearl · Chocolate · Rum Raisin

Warmer, moodier, and a little more layered. Rum Raisin is the kind of color that makes people stop scrolling. Mustang has an almost vintage quality to it. Together this palette feels like it has a history — which is exactly what certain brands need.

Color psychology note: deep, earthy tones evoke comfort, depth, and authenticity. They tend to attract clients who value craft and story over flash and trend.

Works well for: food and hospitality brands, artisan businesses, coaches, wellness practitioners, interior designers.

Palette 03 — The Quiet One Crème · Warm Sand · Linen · Cocoa

The most understated of the three — and often the most effective. This palette is warm without being loud, minimal without feeling cold. It creates a sense of ease that's very hard to fake with bolder colors.

Color psychology note: soft, warm neutrals signal approachability, calm, and care. They're especially powerful for brands where trust and intimacy matter — think skincare, yoga, therapy, or any service that asks clients to be a little vulnerable.

Works well for: beauty and wellness brands, lifestyle photographers, health coaches, boutique hospitality.

So how do you actually choose?

A good brand palette isn't just about what looks pretty on a mood board. It's about what your ideal client needs to feel the moment they land on your website. Safe enough to trust you. Drawn in enough to stay. Excited enough to reach out.

A few questions worth sitting with: What's the first feeling you want someone to have? What do your competitors all look like — and do you want to blend in or stand apart? If your brand were a place, what would it feel like to walk in?

Color is where that answer starts.
